Someone I know is concerned about being charged with animal neglect. They believe a neighbour will report them ( it is their belief that the neighbour entered their apartment when they were not home). Person admitted to a hoarding situation but has since remedied this, the cat in the home was at no time left with out food or water or left alone except for normal occurrences such as going to work. This persons mental health is suffering due to this fear and wonders should they retain a lawyer in advance of these “possible” charges. There has been no contact from animal or bylaw officers.
